Why we gather
This May, join the East Oakland Boxing Association (EOBA) for a powerful community luncheon celebrating the 2026 Stanley Garcia Community Service Awards. We’ll honor leaders who show up for East Oakland with equity, generosity, and purpose—and we’ll raise critical funds to sustain EOBA’s youth and education-centered programming.
EOBA is a community hub that builds pathways to stability and promotes learning, leadership, wellness, and economic opportunity for East Oakland youth and families through education, workforce development, and food justice programs growing from its boxing roots into a catalyst for a stronger, more connected community.
EOBA is a place where young people are known, supported, and challenged to grow. Your support keeps doors open after school, keeps caring adults present, and keeps youth connected to the academic and life skills they need to thrive.
