FutureWorks at EOBA is a youth-led program that offers career development and leadership opportunities to those from ages 15-24 by giving them management opportunities over the variety of daily operations at the East Oakland Boxing Association.
We are proud to partner with youth employment organizations that believe in second chances and bright beginnings. Our young team members come to us through trusted partners like Lao Family, EOYDC, Youth Employment Partnership, Arise High School, Cristo Rey De La Salle High School, and the Unity Council.
At EOBA, youth don’t just belong, they run the show!
What makes EOBA special is that every department is operated by youth under professional guidance. In addition, EOBA communicates with youth to identify their individual wants and strengths then caters to them by putting them in working positions where they can thrive.
This structure transforms traditional participation into a hands-on career introduction, developing competence, confidence, and character in every student.
