About EOBA
We support the brightest youth that East Oakland has to offer. And then we do everything we can to make sure they succeed.
EOBA seeks to create a secure and enriching environment that inspires individuals to thrive in education, health and wellness, and community engagement.
The East Oakland Boxing Association (EOBA) is a multi-service youth and community development hub that goes far beyond the ring. While rooted in the discipline of boxing, EOBA integrates robust programs in workforce development, food justice, afterschool enrichment, financial literacy, mentorship, and wellness. For over 40 years, EOBA has served as a vital safe haven for youth and families in East Oakland, particularly those from low-income backgrounds. Our free farmers markets, community garden, and year-round programs equip youth not only with physical strength, but also the academic, emotional, and leadership skills needed to thrive. Through this holistic approach, EOBA empowers the next generation of leaders—resilient, informed, and deeply connected to their community.
