Clean Mile Careers
Clean Mile Careers is an innovative program based in Deep East Oakland, designed to empower residents with essential skills for thriving in a green economy. This program focuses on both traditional Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training and Electric Vehicle Commercial Driver’s License (EVCDL) training, preparing participants for eco-friendly trucking careers that align with climate change mitigation and offer sustainable economic growth.
Drive Forward Academy
Body Shop Academy by B&M Auto Collision is an innovative program based in Deep East Oakland, designed to empower justice-involved youth with essential skills for thriving in today’s evolving workforce. This program provides hands-on auto body and collision repair training, combined with financial literacy and workforce readiness, preparing participants for careers in a high-demand trade. By integrating eco-conscious practices such as safe chemical handling, paint recycling, and energy-efficient shop techniques, the Academy not only builds sustainable career pathways but also aligns with broader goals of community health and environmental responsibility.
Body Shop Academy
Drive Forward Academy is an 8-week auto mechanic training program based in East Oakland, with classroom instruction held at the East Oakland Boxing Association (EOBA) and hands-on training conducted by Angels Auto Repair.
This program is designed for youth (16+) and adults on probation, parole, or in reentry who are seeking practical skills and career pathways in the automotive repair industry.
